Mea Culpa
It has always amazed me to see how freedom of expression has survived time. Through the times of Gutenberg, church control over writing, the censor of press during the world wars; the freedom of expression and expression of freedom have survived.
Blogging is just a new shade of the old spirit.. or as the Zen says it - "reincarnation".
I require no introductions.. Not that Im so popular but only that its redundant. But the blog surely needs - It is about reading books, reading people, reading events, reading art, reading movies, reading photographs, and reading lives.
Reading (of any of the above type) does various things to different people. In this blog, I will talk about what it does to me. I read everything that I can afford to understand without misinterpreting it. This does two things to my mind - one, it rubs on an essence that last a lifetime; two, it leaves residue thoughts that either I cant assimilate or cannot relate to with the little experience that I have. These, as I call, are the literary leftovers.
Books that have done this to me over the recent month are - Delhi (Khuswant Singh) and The Unknown Errors of our Lives (Chitra Banerjee). I will start soon with my understanding (I use understanding here, since I am too much of a novice to write reviews) of either of the two or with the "Memoirs of a Geisha" if I manage to finish it this week.
